Lately, I have been calling myself an artist. What does that really mean?
If you seek for answers to those questions solely in the world of galleries, museums and collectors, you will find interesting results, yet your overall understanding of art will be likely extremely limited.
On the other hand, understanding what art is by exploring popular culture could also be a frustrating effort: Everything is called art nowadays, and everyone is an artist.
